CREDENTIALS

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND - Dana A. Max, Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist, licensed in the State of Colorado (license # 1925), and a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Society for Personality Assessment (SPA), the Colorado Assessment Society (CAS) and the Christian Association for Psychological Studies (CAPS). He earned a BA in psychology from Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL, in 1983, a MA in Clinical Psychology in 1987 from Biola University, La Mirada, CA, and a Psy.D. (Doctor of Psychology) from Biola University in 1992. Dr. Max has been practicing psychotherapy since 1987 and has been in private practice in Littleton, CO since 1992. Dr. Max also worked for almost 10 years as a Senior Staff Psychologist at the University of Denver and as the Director of Iliff Counseling Services at the Iliff School of Theology. He teaches as a Clinical Faculty at Denver Seminary, and as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver doctoral program teaching personality assessment. Dr. Max completed his internship at The Children's Hospital, Denver, CO and worked in Community Mental Health in the past. Dr. Max's interests include psychotherapy, psychological assessment, adolescent development, and the integration of psychology and theology. 

RELEATED EXPERIENCE - Dr. Max is married and has two adult children. Besides working as a clinical psychologist, Dr. Max has also worked extensively with young people in the church and was a youth minister for over 20 years. He still speaks to young people at retreats and special gatherings and helps train youth leaders around the country and internationally.
